Characters and Bloodlines

The first step to roleplaying on Naruto Royale is to create a character. Creating a character is easy and members simply fill out the template found in the character creation forum.

Copy and paste the below coding into a new topic, fill it out, and then members post their character.
Code:

Ninja Ranking Rules

There are 5 character or ninja ranks on Naruto Royale, and no academy student ranks except for statistics. Usually, members cannot start as higher than genin on Naruto Royale unless admin permission is given. Active players are given priority for higher-ranking positions though in the case of someone like a Kage going inactive.

D-rank ninja

Commonly known in Hidden Villages as Genin (下忍; Literally meaning "low ninja", or "Junior Ninja") are the lowest level of ninja and also the ones that often display the most difference in power. When they become genin, ninja start to do their bit for their village's economy – being sent on missions that the village gets paid for. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are almost entirely risk-free jobs of manual labor, or, rarely, on C-rank missions, which are a cut above that and begin to verge on real "ninja" work that have a very low possibility of risk to the ninja involved. When Konohagakure was short-handed on upper-level ninja because of the invasion, the village had to occasionally send genin on higher-ranked missions.

  1. Stats: Have 2 stat points to allocate.
  2. Specialties: 1 main specialty.
  3. Specialty Abilities: 1 specialty ability.
  4. Elements: 1 basic element. They can gain their jounin element with 4,000 words training. They can gain their elder element with 8,000 words training.
  5. Genin get a 20% WC discount to gaining jutsu and purchasing weapons only.

How to rank up?:

  1. Ranking up to chuunin requires Kage permission.
  2. 10 missions of D-rank or above need to be completed. Half of them need to be C-rank or above.
  3. Alternatively, members can instantly rank up from chuunin exams when they're held.

C-rank ninja

Commonly known in Hidden Villages as Chūnin (中忍; Literally meaning "Middle Ninja") are ninja who are qualified to guide other ninja and lead missions. Chūnin have reached a level of maturity and ability that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Genin who do not have the skills to become chūnin are weeded out in the chūnin exams. Some of them, like Iruka Umino and Daikoku Funeno move on to function as Academy teachers and others, like Shikamaru Nara, serve as team leaders in charge of small teams who need to make decisions and utilise the skills of the shinobi under their command to the maximum effect. Chūnin are typically sent on C-rank or B-rank missions.

  1. Stats: 2 stats are gained, have 4 stat points to allocate.
  2. Specialties: 2 main specialties.
  3. Specialty Abilities: 2 specialty abilities.
  4. Elements: 1 basic element. They can gain their jounin element with 4,000 words training. They can gain their elder element with 8,000 words training.
  5. Chuunin get a 10% WC discount to gaining jutsu and purchasing weapons only.

How to rank up?:

  1. Ranking up to jounin requires Kage permission.
  2. 10 missions of C-rank or above need to be completed. Half of them need to be B-rank or above.
  3. Alternatively, members can instantly rank up from jounin exams when they're held.

B-rank ninja

Commonly known in Hidden Villages as Jōnin (上忍, Jōnin; Literally meaning "High Ninja", Meaning (Viz) "Elite Ninja") are generally highly-experienced shinobi with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced jōnin may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the greatest difficulty). It is not unusual for jōnin to go on missions alone. Nukenin which are A-rank in the Bingo Book typically are a kill or capture-on-sight, and are the responsibility of the ANBU to take care of.

  1. Stats: 2 stats are gained, have 6 stat points to allocate.
  2. Specialties: 3 main specialties.
  3. Specialty Abilities: 3 specialty abilities.
  4. Elements: 2 basic elements. They can gain their elder element with 8,000 words training.

How to rank up?:

  1. Ranking up to elder requires Kage permission.
  2. 10 missions of B-rank or above need to be completed. Half of them need to be A-rank or above.

Elder/Sannin - A-rank

Commonly known in Hidden Villages as ANBU leaders, legendary ninja, or hidden masters such as Kakashi Hatake. They're generally the strongest in the village and simply haven't had the opportunity or training to become a Kage. On Naruto Royale, Elders are the most reasonable goal to become a legendary figure.

  1. Stats: 2 stats are gained, have 8 stat points to allocate.
  2. Specialties: 3 main specialties.
  3. Specialty Abilities: 3 specialty abilities.
  4. Elements: 3 basic elements.

How to rank up?:

  1. Ranking up to Kage/S-rank requires Kage or admin permission.
  2. 10 missions of A-rank or above need to be completed. Half of them need to be S-rank or above.

Kage/S-rank

Common known in Hidden Villages as Kage leaders or former Kage. They're generally retired and powerful enough to deal with any large-scale village threats on their own.

  1. Stats: have 8 stat points to allocate.
  2. Specialties: 3 main specialties.
  3. Specialty Abilities: 3 specialty abilities.
  4. Elements: 4 basic elements.

Advanced Elements Note
Advanced elements such as Wood Release or Lava Release give 2 elements to start with and advanced elements such as Lava or Wood don't count towards an elemental total.
All advanced element clans have even genin starting with an advanced element along with their 2 base elements, but they have to do 8,000 words training to get their elder and third element.

Specialty Note
Only +1 main specialty for clanless is gained at each chuunin.

Character Fun Facts

Simplicity

Our character application is meant to be simple to get us RPing together as soon as possible and our guide to characters is kept simple as well.

History/RP Sample

We don't believe people should be forced to plan out their characters immediately or be forced to demonstrate their ability to RP. Thus, one of these 2 components of applications seen on sites can be excluded from the member character application.

Races

Players are able to have flexible appearances like Kisame or neko, but there are no physical bonuses such as breathing underwater or improved smell unless jutsu are registered.

Bijuu and Legendary Items

Tailed beasts and legendary items are both for events. They don't normally exist on Naruto Royale at all times.

Application Filling

If members are having trouble completing their application, they can try to imagine their character in high-sensory situations where they simply fill in the blanks by describing the environment and their thoughts. From head to toe, describe the colors of their environment in their history or how their character specially perceives the world.

Bloodlines and Clans

Limits for registration

Clans cannot have abilities listed as disabled under jutsu rules and basic rules manipulations are prohibited. Multiple bloodlines can't be gained from 1 clan. Extra specialties cannot be obtained from clans. Even Jugo clansmen do not get juubi-like stats for anything - all they can do is enable collaboration jutsu with those with Sage Mode.

Non-canon clans have a 3 member limit usually (particularly the element stealing one). Bloodlines get nothing free either; members need to spend some effort to get any power.

Clan Location

On Naruto Royale, characters can start with any bloodline in any village. Uchiha don't need to start in Konohagakure for example.

Activity Checks

Individuals with high-demand bloodlines are subject to activity checks. Those with limited implanted bloodlines such as Uchiha and Senju are subject to the same activity checks.

Implants

  1. Bloodline implants require medical ninjutsu/ijutsu full specialty to be completed and DNA from PC/member characters. Bloodline implants are what can give a character a bloodline they don't possess by taking them from other PC characters.
  2. Implants can't evolve unless the original user is still alive - in which case they evolve as the original user's does, and even then require double the word count to unlock the final stage.
  3. A dice roll will be completed per implant, and you have a 50% chance to get an implant. If you fail, you can do 5,000 words to keep trying for that DNA, and keep repeating the word count if you fail.
  4. Uchiha will always have successful implants for Sharingan and don't require rolls.
