Missions and Ryo

Ryo is the Naruto universe's currency. Ryo comes from completing missions or stealing on this site. There are 5 mission levels.

Any member can make missions for any village. All a member has to do is post the filled out template in the mission creation forum. Mission creation isn't limited to Kage, but they're expected to create missions and help their villagers.

Mission Levels

  1. There are D-rank missions, the lowest classification a mission can receive. These missions are usually assigned to genin. Naruto Uzumaki describes D-rank missions as not being actual missions as they deal with tasks as simple as finding missing pets and weeding a garden.
D-rank missions pay between 5,000 and 50,000 ryō.

  2. There are also C-rank missions. These missions are usually assigned to chūnin, or in some cases, genin. Assignments include bodyguard duty and hunting wild animals, all of which will likely pose some risk to the ninja.
C-rank missions pay between 30,000 and 100,000 ryō.

  3. There are also B-rank missions. These missions are usually assigned to jōnin or chūnin. Assignments can involve spying or assassinations, and ninja are expected to go up against enemy ninja during the course of the mission.
B-rank missions pay between 80,000 and 200,000 ryō.

  4. There are also A-rank missions. These missions relate to what is in a village or country's personal interests and are extremely difficult or dangerous to complete, usually assigned to jōnin.
A-rank missions pay between 150,000 and 1,000,000 ryō.

  5. Missions can also be classified as S-rank, these are the highest paying and most dangerous type of mission a ninja can go on. These missions are exclusively assigned to highly skilled jōnin or large squads of ninja.
S-rank missions pay at least 1,000,000 ryō.

Mission Preparation

  1. Ranks and Missions: Missions must be completed to rank up for a village to trust members with a position.

Alone you are only going to be able to do missions of your rank. To do any missions of any higher rank you are going to need another person to come with you. However they can be of any rank and the mission can be of any rank as well.

  2. Mission Creation: Missions need to have topics individually approved in sets of 3 missions per 1 topic, just like jutsu. Members are encouraged to make topics with only a single mission if they wish.

  3. Topics with 3 missions should have shortened labels like "Robbery/Farming/Kidnapping" etc. respectively. Titles of mission creation topics should have the village like [Konoha], [Kirigakure], rogue, etc., but rogues can complete certain village missions with staff permission.

  4. PC/NPC Missions: PC missions are a special kind of mission promoting activity and PC-to-PC interaction. They don't require word counts and are usually used for events. Usually, the difference between PC and NPC missions are that NPC missions are able to be repeated but PC missions can't be. Most missions on the site are NPC missions.

Mission Completion

  1. Division of Missions: To promote group activity during missions, members are able to split the word count for a mission among participating squad members. Additionally, jutsu and stats only can be trained during missions without requiring additional word count or mention of them if missions are completed with other people. Teams also get a mission bonus of 5% word count taken off the mission.

  2. Rogues/Robbing Villages: Rogue ninja can complete or create missions just like anyone else. They just need to label the mission [ROGUE] or something similar, or complete missions villages wouldn't mind giving them.

  3. Members can only rob a village as a mission. The amount of ryo members get from robbing a village is 1,000,000 multiplied by the amount of PC they defeat and staff/Kage RP'd (if they're not in the village) security after 48 hours. Members can only rob for ryo in a village's administration, and ryo can't all be stored in fuinjutsu or other unrealistic things until stolen.

  4. Indefinite Training: Missions are what primarily help a ninja test themselves and find themselves. The instinct stat is permanently increased by +1 advantage for every 10 missions completed, but the missions all have to be at a member's current character rank.

  5. Word Requirements/Mission Dice: Enemies can be OPTIONALLY rolled for all missions through a dice roll where members wish to face ADDITIONAL enemies or somebody obstructing them. Staff don't roleplay mission NPC, and instead the rollers do. How are mission roll dice rolled? Refer to below.

    Spoiler:

The mission roll dice are used when a member wants to fight NPC. Whatever the mission roll dice rolls, a member will then have to be contested by at least 1 NPC equivalent to the roll's rank. NPC are RPed by the members that roll mission dice and don't require staff to NPC hover unless members unrealistically roleplay their NPC.

Words Required

  1. D-rank: 500 words
  2. C-rank: 700 words
  3. B-rank: 900 words
  4. A-rank: 1300 words
  5. S-rank: 1700 words
